Having bowel disease as a child can be very discouraging and challenging. To help children face this disease the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America established a camp more than a decade ago to help support and enrich their lives. The campers are given a supportive and safe camp experience which would otherwise be very difficult for a child who suffers from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. If you would like to help a child go to camp you can do so by donating a car. Here are some of the details about Camp Oasis:
Play, Learn, and Heal
Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America created Camp Oasis more than 10 years ago to help children who are being affected by inflammatory bowel disease. The co-residential camp provides a supportive and safe place for children to experience a positive summer camp community.

Devoted Staff
All volunteer staff is highly qualified and have been screened. Also, many off the staff also deal with IBD. These hard working individuals are both responsible and empathetic to help each camper and help them feel comfortable and safe. Camp Oasis is committed to mentoring each camp counselor. They provide a development program for each of the Camp Oasis’ oldest campers to learn leadership skills through their Leaders in Training Program (LIT). Participants in the leadership program help with planning activities, assist with special events, and help support younger campers in their activities.
